I first met Bobby in the
late 70's before he became the household name we have come to
know and love. His current appearances on Ant & Dec
are once again showing his versatility especially as the
Vicar in the Emmerdale sketch. Bobby made his TV debut in 1981, but his major breakthrough came with an appearance in Live at Her Majesty’s in 1983. This led to his own Saturday night series Bobby Davro on The Box, Bobby’s Sketch Pad and TV Weekly, which immediately topped the ratings for six consecutive years and made Bobby Davro a household name throughout the country. In 1991 Bobby moved to the BBC and made three series, Public Enemy Number One, Rock with Laughter and Run the Risk. He returned to our screens in May 1997 as host of Yorkshire Television's Winner Takes All for 65 programmes. Bobby can be seen regularly presenting outside broadcasts for GMTV. Bobby is available for Television, Pantomime, Corporate Events and Awards Presentations. Bobby enjoys the great game of Golf (He plays off a handicap of 11), a game of snooker, a spot of fishing, or a glass of Chardonnay in front of the telly. In 1976 John Virgo turned professional and became a member of the elite top 16. Three years later he went on become the UK champion in a nail-biting final beating Terry Griffiths 14 -13. The victory was even more remarkable as he had forfeited two frames for arriving late for the final session after building an 11-7 lead. En route to that final JV beat Tony Meo, Steve Davies and Dennis Taylor, who had denied him a place in the final of the World Championships seven months earlier. John was also the former Chairman of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association. In 1990 he was asked to do the award winning TV game show ‘Big Break’ with Jim Davidson. The show became one of the most popular quiz series the BBC has ever produced, in it's height peaking at 13.99 million viewers. |

PATTI BOULAYE came to this country at the age of 16 and appeared in her first West End Musical “Hair” at the Shaftesbury Theatre. This was followed by “Two Gentleman of Verona” at the Phoenix and a 12 months stint as one of the fabulous girl group “The Flirtations”. She returned to the London stage in “Jesus Christ Superstar”. Patti was cast in her first starring role “Yum Yum” in the “Black Mikado” at the Cambridge Theatre in the West End. This gave Patti her first of many plaudits by the critics. Patti also acted opposite Lenny Henry in “The Fosters” for the BBC. Following “The Black Mikado” Patti changed her name from Patricia Ngosi Ebigwei after a chance meeting with Evelyn Laye, known affectionately as “Boo” to her friends.Patti played the part of Angie in “Follow the Star” directed by Wendy Toye at Chicester. After starring as “Bisi” in the most financially successful African film “Bisi Daughter of the River”, Patti returned to London to win the “New Faces” TV Series with an unprecedented full marks in the 5 year history of the show. Patti went on to win the All Winners Final Gala Show. Patti starred in her first British film “The Music Machine” for director Ian Sharp, followed by “Hussy” with Helen Mirren. Patti was voted “Female Vocalist of the Year” in the prestigious BBCTV Club Mirror awards. There followed top-flight cabaret and recording engagements around the world, including “Talk of the Town” and Savoy Hotel in London. Patti danced with The Scottish Ballet at the Gala re-opening of His Majesty’s Theatre for Prince Charles. Patti’s fifth Album was released in conjunction with the screening of her own TV series “The Patti Boulaye Show” on UK Channel 4, which she co-produced. |
